WOMEN'S SOCIETY

The Women's Society meets in the Fellowship Room on the second Thursday of the month at 1:00pm during the months of April through November. All women who attend Union Church are invited and welcome to join us. Our meetings are filled with fun, fellowship, snacks and service to Christ. Each month's meeting starts out with a special program. Some of the programs this year included:

Jan Hutchins & Friends of Branch Area Rescue Coalition
Bev Reyner, Author of "Memoirs of a Country School Teacher"

Our new year starts in September, which is when we host our annual Fall Luncheon with guests from several area churches. Other activities include attending the Quincy United Methodist Spring Luncheon and the Coldwater First Presbytery Church's Christmas Tea.

The Women's Society continues to prepare and serve meals each Monday for the Quincy Rotary Club. Our Rotary Teams are each made up of 3-4 women who rotate every 4 weeks. The Quincy Rotary is our primary source of income. Some of the things we have funded this year include: 
*Monthly donation to Union Church
*Kitchen license, equipment, and supplies, coffee pot replacement parts, dishwasher upkeep/repair
*Supplies for the Hostess Fund (funeral dinners) as needed
*Sponsorship of a child through World Vision
*Monetary support to Family Promise, Eternal Bread
*Baptist Mission support (bandages) and Break the Chains of Women & Girls Program
*Donation to the Branch Area Rescue Coalition
*Donation of $700 toward the church parking lot
*Hosted the meal for Pastor Brad Parrish's ordination
